Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This policy describes the personal data we process in operating Unitorly. The revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) is authoritative; for users in the EEA the GDPR applies in addition.
1 · Controller
Feuz Institute, contact: admin@unitorly.com. The full postal address is in the legal notice.
2 · What data we process
Account
Email address and sign-in credentials. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and an identifier from there — no password.
Study data
Subjects, topics, competencies, exam dates, grades, learning progress, session reports and settings. This data arises from your use of the service and is its actual purpose.
Uploaded documents
Files you upload yourself or scan with the app.
Payment data
For a subscription, Stripe processes your payment data. We receive only the status of your subscription — no card details.
Technical data
When the site is accessed, the usual log data arises on the server (IP address, time, address requested, browser identifier). It serves operation and security.
3 · Why we process it
- Providing the service and your personal knowledge state
- Sign-in, account management and handling the subscription
- Operation, security and fixing faults
- Answering your enquiries
We do not sell data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
4 · Artificial intelligence
Unitorly sends no data of its own accord to AI services. The app generates a text (a prompt) that you paste into a service of your choice — Gemini, ChatGPT or Claude, for example. From that moment the provider's own terms apply. The same holds for generating podcast audio. You can see everything the prompt contains, in full, before you use it.
5 · Processors
- Supabase — accounts, database and file storage
- Vercel — running the website and the interfaces
- Stripe — payment processing
- Apple — distribution of the iOS app
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually bound. Processing outside Switzerland or the EEA is possible; the providers rely on recognised safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses.
6 · Storage on your device
We use technically necessary cookies for signing in, plus local caching so that the app starts quickly and works offline. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
7 · Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete a profile or your account, the associated data is removed. We keep accounting records for as long as the statutory retention period requires.
8 · Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, deletion, restriction, and to receive your data in a common format. You can export profiles as a file yourself in Unitorly at any time. For anything else, a message to admin@unitorly.com is enough.
If you disagree with how we process your data, you may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner; in the EEA, the supervisory authority responsible for you.
9 · Security
Transmission is encrypted. Access to data is limited to what is necessary. Absolute protection cannot be guaranteed by anyone.
10 · Minors
Unitorly is aimed at learners of any age. If you are not yet capable of judgement in the sense of the law, you need the consent of your legal guardian to use the service, and in particular for a paid subscription.
11 · Changes
We may amend this policy. The authoritative version is the one published on this page, with the date given above.
12 · Language
This policy is published in English only; the English version is the binding one.
